1 1/2 pound ground bison or turkey
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
4 slices cheese, if desired
4 brioche or tender white hamburger buns, split

1.In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, egg, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Form into four patties.

2.Heat countertop grill or grill pan. Grill burger until cooked through, about 6 minutes each side. If desired, top with cheese and melt cheese by either covering grill pan briefly with a lid, or by transferring burgers to a sheet pan and placing under broiler for a few minutes. Keep warm.

3.Place buns cut-side down on the surface of the hot grill, pressing lightly to let buns soak up any juices. Toast buns until lightly golden.

4.Serve on buns with your choice of condiments, such as ketchup, mustard, pickles, sliced tomatoes, onions or lettuce.
