1 cup onion, minced
9 pounds ground American lamb
1 1/2 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 ounce worcestershire sauce
24 wheat buns
24 red onion slices
24 tomato slices
24 leaves leaf lettuce

1. Sauté onions and cool completely. Add lamb, garlic powder, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce and mix thoroughly. Scale twenty-four 4-ounce portions and form into patties. Grill or broil until desired degree of doneness: 145ºF for medium-rare, 160ºF for medium or 170ºF for well.

2. Place cooked lamb patty on wheat bun and garnish with red onion slice, tomato slice and lettuce leaf.
