Easy Sponge Cake
Easy Sponge Cake
Comments: For best results, all the ingredients should be at room temperature.
Ingredients Preparation
7/8 cup [200 g] butter
1 cup [200 g] sugar
4 medium eggs
1 1/2 cups [210 g] flour
1 1/2 teaspoons [7.5 mL] baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon [2.5 mL] vanilla
Preheat oven to 300°C [150°F].
Well grease then flour a 15 x 9 x 1-inch [38 x 23 x 2.5-cm] cake pan.
Cream together butter and sugar at high speed of an electric beater, for approximately 3 minutes.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended.
Slowly sift together flour, baking powder and salt into mixture.
Beat at speed '2' for a short time.
Evenly spoon into prepared pan.
Bake onto middle rack of preheated oven for 60 to 80 minutes, until golden brown.Life is God's gift to you......what you do with your life is your gift to God.
