'Mock' Breaded Pork Chops


1 tablespoon canola oil
4 pork chops, any cut
Salt & pepper to taste
1 can (2.8 ounces) French's Original French Fried Onions
Water

Season the chops with salt and pepper. In a 10- or 12-inch frying pan, brown the chops in the oil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and add water to a depth of about 1/2 inch. Sprinkle the onions over top of chops. Cover pan and simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Check often and add more water, if needed. Do not let water completely evaporate; it should have a gravy-like consistency. Makes 4 servings.
