All-Day Apple Butter

Ingredients:
5 1/2 pounds apples, peeled and finely chopped
4 cups granulated sugar
2 to 3 Tbsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Place the apples in a slow cooker. Add the sugar, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Cover and cook on high setting for 1 hour. Reduce heat to low and cook for 9 to 10 hours or until mixture is thick and dark brown. Stir occasionally. Uncover, and cook for 1 hour.
