This was just a green bean casserole but I was experimenting with it as I was just PLAIN tired of the regular old green casserole. This is very good to.
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or 1 teaspoon Lemon pepper
1 tall can chopped asparagus, drained
1 can green beans (14 ounces) drained
1 cup cooked chopped ham
1 can ( 6 ounces ) cheese french-fried onions, divided
In a bowl, combine soup, milk soy sauce and pepper. Gently stir asparagus, green beans and ham. Spoon half of the mixture into a 12-in. x 8-in. glass baking dish. Sprinkle with half of the onions. Spoon remaining asparagus-bean ham mixture over the top. Bake uncovered at 350* for 30 minutes or until bubbly. Sprinkle with remaining onions. Return to oven for 5 minutes or until the onions are brown and crispy.
NOTE: this can be used with so many veggies and soups, like green peas, chicken and different cheeses, different seasonings to. Mushroom and chicken soups you can really have a lot fun with this recipe this just happens that we really like this combination. It is very yummy
