Au Gratin Cabbage

Au Gratin Cabbage

2 cups shredded cabbage
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup chopped green onions
One egg
1/2 cup fat free milk
3 tablespoons shredded Swiss cheese
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 tablespoon shredded Parmesan cheese

In a skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, saute the cabbage, carrot and onions until crisp-tender. Transfer to a greased shallow 1-quart baking dish. In a bowl, combine the egg, milk, Swiss cheese and seasoned salt. Pour over the vegetables. Sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350-degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
Recipe makes two to three servings.

I will have to dig it out. This is kind of like a recipe I make but mine doesn’t have “fancy” cheese in it, but good old processed Velveta.

CJ - I had this with Velveeta, and with Swiss and with Gruyere - and I like the Swiss and Gruyere better than the Velveeta - but it is my personal taste.

I love Velveeta on beef, with pasta, etc. and just to eat plain - I love to cheat and make my own version of Phillie and Cheese hoagies using it. I am a cheese nut - I love cheese and will put it on anything I can!

Ditto! I love cheese! Cheese is a food group to me

Now you’re talkin’ MY language!!! I can’t get enough of it - any kind at all.
