Bacon Asparagus Rollups

1 8oz pkg cream cheese, softened
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 TBSP fresh chopped chives
1 cup mayo
1 loaf white bread, crusts removed
1 bunch fresh aspsragus spears
1/4 cup butter

Preheat oven to 400. Barely steam asparagus and then blanch in cold water. Combine cream cheese, bacon, chives and mayo. Beat at medium speed one minute. Spread mixture on each slice of bread. Roll 2 spears in each slice of bread and cut into 3 bite size rolls. Arrange on greased cookie sheet , seam side down and brush with melted butter. Bake for 12 minutes.

Can be prepared ahead and frozen.
