Bacon Breakfast Casserole

16 slices white bread, crusts trimmed
16 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
2 cans (4oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
3 green onions, chopped
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
7 eggs, beaten
3 1/2 cups milk

Place 8 bread slices on the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle bacon, mushrooms, onions and cheese over bread. Cover with remaining bread slices. Mix eggs and milk; pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake, uncovered, at 350F for 1 hour. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
