Baked Apple Ice Cream Topping

make this for myself sometimes, but I have never put it over ice cream until tonight.

In a glass microwave bowl with lid I put

1 apple, peeled and coarsely chopped (don’t want too big of pieces and not too small either)

then sprinkle Cinnamon over it. Depends up taste, but prob comes out to about 1 teaspoon

then sprinkle about 2 teaspoons of brown sugar over it (you can use more if you want)

then I used about 3/4th inch of a stick of butter cut into small pieces placed on top of apples.

Cover and microwave for 6 minutes 30 seconds. Take out, uncover and really give it a good stir. The apples should start to feel soft but not mushy. I let it sit for about 5 minutes to cool a little before I put it on vanilla ice cream. It was AWESOME on ice cream! The butter, sugar and apple juice makes a carmel syrup.

This is enough for at least 2 servings, depending upon the size of the apple you may be able to get about 3 or 4 toppings out of it.
