I am looking for a recipe for an item that my husband used to get for breakfast somewhere in the Kalamazoo, Mi area. He described it as an individual pan of bread that when you cut into it, a brown gravy was already baked in it. Does anyone have an inkling what he’s talking about - or how I could go about making it?
No, I wish it was that easy. This was also about 30 years ago, but it’s still one of those good 'ole homemade dishes that stick with ya. It was baked all in one small pan… His description was more like a pan of dinner rolls filled with gravey.
They sure do…maybe i’ll have to resort to a bread bowl as you suggested, cut the top off and fill the sucker with gravey and bake it that way.
Thanks for the reply. Im going to try it that way this coming week-end. Wish me luck.
