baking with chocolate

I’m hoping someone can help me. I have been trying to bake chocolate chip cookies with white chocolate but the chocolate always seems to burn or become very hard and crisp, I am assuming it means the chocolate has burnt while baking. Can anyone help me with what sort of chocolate should be used for cookies? and where can I buy this? I have tried cooking chocolate and also chocolate used for melting.

Hi. I believe that Nestle now makes special white chocolate chips for baking in cookies, brownies, etc.
