Banana Date Roll

This is too delicious for words!!! I just love it… Yummy!

Mother’s Banana Date Roll

Mother got this recipe from her Home Demonstration Club in the fifties. We had it one night when we’d have company during the Christmas holidays. I loved it. Mother also served it if her circle met at our house in the winter.

1/2 pint whipped cream which has been whipped
1 cup of pecans chopped (optional)
1 cup of dates chopped (I like to get those that are precut and dreadged so they don’t stick together.)
1/2 pound mini marshmellows
3 bananas crushed
8 or more graham crackers crushed (Use enough to hold the roll together.)

Use the remaining crumbs to roll the log in after you put it together.
Mix all ingredients together. Then form into a roll which is the shape of log. Roll in 1/2 cup graham crackers which are finely ground and wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight. 24 hours is best. Slice.
