1 can of sweetened condensed milk (any variety)
4 – 5 bananas
whipped cream
This may sound like a strange recipe but it is very good if you like caramel. Take a large stockpot & fill with water. Remove the label from the condensed milk but do not open the can. Place the unopened can into the water. Bring the water to a slow rolling boil. Boil the condensed milk for 3 hours. Do not let the water level drop below the can or else it will redecorate your ceiling. Add more water if needed. After 3 hours turn off the heat and let the can cool in the water. The milk will have caramelized inside the can. Do not open the can while it is still warm. Chill the unopened can. The unopened can, will remain in the refrigerator awhile. When you are ready to serve, slice bananas into a wine glass. Top bananas with caramel and garnish with whipped cream. You can also make this into a pie, just precook your piecrust.
