Barbecue Spice Rub

Barbeque Spice Rub 2
Rubs are a great time saving way to season meat for the barbecue. All you have to do is rub the spice mix into the meat a short time before cooking. This can be stored for several months in a cool, dark place.

2 tsp. celery seeds
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried marjoram
1-2 tsp. light brown sugar
1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Grind the celery seeds to a powder in you spice mill (coffee grinder for spices only)
Add the remaining ingredients
Use the spice mixture for beef, pork or chicken. Rub in 15 minutes before grilling.
Store remaining in an airtight jar and store in a cool, dark place
