Beef Kabobs

1-1/2 lbs lean beef, cut into 1-1/2 inch cubes
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp honey
1/2 tsp ground ginger
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Place meat in mixing bowl. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour over the meat; mix thoroughly. Let stand for 30 minutes or longer.

Thread the meat on skewers. Broil, turning occasionally, until cooked to the desired degree of doneness. Or grill over charcoal.

Note: Cubed pork or lamb may be substituted for the beef. If pork is used, it should be cooked until well done.

If wooden skewers are used, soak them in water for 1-2 hours before using.
