small package of stew beef
salt, pepper, chopped bay leaves
small package of fresh sliced mushrooms
large can of cream of mushroom soup
tablespoon of butter
In a large pot, fill 1/3 with water, generously salt water, bring to boil. Cut larger pieces of stew beef into bite-size pieces and put into water. Boil for 30 minutes until good and tender. Watch and do not let water boil over. Add pepper and about a 1/4 teaspoon of chopped basil. Add fresh sliced mushrooms and boil for 10 minutes before adding a package of whole wheat noodles. Add tablespoon of butter. Cook noodles for 8 minutes, add large can of condensed cream of mushroom soup. Turn down heat to low, stir and serve in five minutes. MMM, this was a twist on my mom’s beef n noodles. Try it, you will love it!
