Blondie Swirl

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet morsels

Melt butter in heavy saucepan; add brown sugar and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and cool. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to sugar mixture, stirring well. Stir in walnuts and 1/4 cup chocolate morsels. Spread batter in a baking pan that is greased and floured (9 x 13 x 2-inches). Sprinkle with remaining chocolate morsels.

Bake for 10 minutes; remove from oven and gently swirl batter with a knife. Return to oven and bake an additional 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
