blueberry pie

I don’t know if it’s me or the berries but blueberry pie just dosen’t taste like it use to.For some reason the berries don’t taste the same when they are baked.If anyone can help with a great recipe that really taste like berries when it’s baked my husband would be very pleased.Or may-be I should learn to bake like his mother. HELP.

nanny - here’s a basic one - would this help?

1 quart blueberries
2 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon butter
Dash salt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 baked pie shell
Sweetened whipped cream or ice cream if desired

Mix half the blueberries, flour, butter, salt and lemon juice together in a heavy saucepan. Add the sugars. Cook over low temperature, stirring constantly. (Do not add additional liquid.) When mixture has thickened (in about 5 minutes), remove from the heat and cool. Add remaining blueberries. Fill the pie shell and chill.

When ready to serve, top with the whipped cream or ice cream.
