Bread Machine Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Bread Machine Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Can’t you just smell this bread baking already? Cinnamon raisin toast is a great way to start your morning. Most bread machines have a beeping signal to let you know when it’s time to add ingredients such as raisins. Don’t add them before it’s time, or your raisins will become hard. You might also be tempted to add more cinnamon than the recipe calls for, but it’s not advised. Adding extra cinnamon could cause your loaf of bread to be heavy and short.

Ingredients:
• 1-2/3 C water
• 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
• 1/3 C nonfat dry milk
• 1-1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/4 C sugar
• 4 C bread flour
• 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 2 tsp. active yeast
• 1-1/4 C raisins

Directions:
Place all the ingredients in the bread machine pan as recommended by the manufacturer. Select the sweet cycle and loaf size, and close the lid. When the bread maker beeps for adding ingredients, add in the raisins. Makes one 2-pound loaf.

This sounds like a great recipe!

Just a small additional information on ‘adding the raisins later’. Some bread makers will give a beep but the best bread makers will have a separate dispenser and add the raisins to the dough at the right time.
