Brickle Bars

Brickle Bars

1 box (2 layer) yellow cake mix
1/3 c. margarine
2 eggs
1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped peanuts
1 (6 oz) pkg. bits of brickle chips

Combine cake mix, margarine, and 1 egg. Mix at high speed until crumbly. Press into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. In a small bowl beat sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla. Add pecans and brickle chips to milk mixture. Pour over cake mix base. Bake at 350 for 25 to 35 minutes until a golden brown. Center may still be soft and will set as cools. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Is this sweetened condensed milk or evaporated milk- both are condensed?

Also, what are brickle chips- are they crushed candy or actually just chips.? I haven’t heard of these.

Thanks for the info, I’m anxious to try this recipe. Deb

Hi,

It is the sweetened condensed milk. Brickle chips should be found right with the other chips like chocolate, white choc. etc.
