BROWN SUGAR BBQ CHICKEN & RIBS
¼ c. dark brown sugar
2 T. dry chicken seasoning (McCormick?s Montreal)
¾ t. salt
1 slab pork ribs (3 - 3 ½ lbs.)
3 lbs. chicken parts
¾ c. bottled brown sugar barbecue sauce (such as Kraft)
¼ c. spicy brown mustard
¾ t. cayenne
¾ t. chili powder
Combine brown sugar, seasoning and salt; rub over tops of ribs and chicken. Place ribs seasoned side down on grill. Cover; cook 15 minutes; turn cook, covered, 1 hour.
Add chicken, meaty side down; cook 4 to 5 minutes; turn and place over indirect heat. Cook 45 to 55 minutes or until done and ribs are tender. Combine barbecue sauce, mustard, cayenne and chili powder; brush over ribs and chicken during last 20 minutes of cooking.
