Cabbage Soup

6 cups broth
1 3/4 pounds green cabbage, cut in strips
1 sweet onion, cut in strips
1 (16-oz) can diced tomatoes
1 cup diced carrots
1 pound beef stew meat, cubed
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt


Place all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low setting for 9 to 10 hours; or on high for 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
