Can't believe I did that!

Hello everyone,

I’m a newbie here in a panic.

Trying to make slow cooker chili for the first time. Without reading the recipe completely, I added all of the ingredients at one time. I SHOULD have browned the beef first.

Did I commit the cardinal sin? Will I have a huge mess? What can I do to fix it?:confused:


It will still be edible, but you have lost some flavor by not browning the beef.

Don’t worry - the meat will be cooked through; browning would have been better - but you now know for the next time.
