Cherry-Pineapple Jell-O Salad

6 oz box cherry Jell-O
2 cup boiling water
21 oz can cherry pie filling
20 oz can crushed pineapple, drained

Topping

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla, optional

Mix Jell-O with water until dissolved. Stir in pie filling and pineapple. Pour in 9x13 pan. Refrigerate until set. Mix together remaining ingredients with mixer until smooth. Spread over Jell-O mixture; chill.
