Chicken and Vegetables

It only takes a few minutes to get your ingredients together for the slow cooker. Then when you get home from work or just a busy day doing errands you will know as soon as you open your door that your dinner is waiting and delicious.

3 carrots, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
2 stalks of celery, with leaves, cut into 3/4 inch pieces
2 onions, sliced
1 broiloer/fryer chicken, cut up ( 3-4 pounds)
1/2 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon dried basil

In a 5 quart slow cooker, place carrots, celery and onions. Top with chicken. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or until chicken juices run clear and vegetables are tender. Yu can serve over buttered noodles or just with a nice crusty bread and a salad.

This sounds real good! I personaly would add some rosemary, thyme, or tarragon to this also.
