Chocolate Cake

Chocolate cake mix, any brand
2 cups powdered sugar
16-ounce can chocolate syrup

Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

Sift powdered sugar through a wire mesh strainer, to remove lumps. Stir together sugar and chocolate syrup.

To serve: Place individual slices of cake on a plate; top with chocolate syrup mixture, allowing it to drizzle down the sides and pool on the plate (this is a thin chocolate sauce, not a frosting). Warm briefly in microwave and serve immediately.

Serves 12 to 16.
