Chocolate Cream Cheese Cookies
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 egg
1-1/2 cups sugar
12 ounces chocolate or mini chips
2-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
Beat cream cheese with butter, egg and sugar until light and fluffy.
Melt 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Stir into batter. Stir in flour, baking soda and nuts, if desired, along with remaining chocolate chips.
Drop from tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 1 dozen at a time in 350 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes; or until firm around the edges. Remove from sheets; cool.
Makes about 4 dozen
