Chocolate Sticky Snack Cake

Cake
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Topping
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cups hot water

  1. Combine all cake ingredients and spread into greased 8x8-inch baking pan.

  2. Combine brown sugar and cocoa and sprinkle over cake batter. Pour hot water over sugar and cocoa mixture.

  3. Bake at 350 F until done. Serve immediately with vanilla ice cream. (Or you can refrigerate it - the hot-fudge sauce will thicken a bit.)
