Chop Suey Casserole

CHOP SUEY CASSEROLE
This is a large recipe - you may want to halve it or freeze one pan for another meal!

2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
3 c. water
1 small bottle (4 1/2 oz.) soy sauce
3 lb. ground beef
2 c. chopped celery
1 lb. rice, uncooked
2 medium onions, chopped
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped in half
1 large can chow mein noodles

Mix liquid ingredients. Add remaining ingredients, except noodles, and mix well. Pack into two metal (9x13x2 inch) pans and cover with foil, sealing edges well. Bake 350° for 1 1/2 hours. Remove foil and top with noodles. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes.
