Hi everyone. I am cooking for friends next weekend and want to make a whole salmon with dauphionoise potatoes. The only problem is that the salmon needs to go in at 200 degress and the potatoes at 160. if they go in too high the cream will split. anyone have any advice?? cheers
I would bake the potatoes first, and then bake the salmon. Put the potatoes back in the oven for just a few more minutes to heat through.
I take it your oven temps are celcius and not fahrenheit -
I have a recipe for dauphionoise potatoes that calls for the oven temp to be 180C
you may be able to bake them together - just adjust your cooking time and if you do not want them to brown too much cover loosely with foil during most the baking time
