I have loved crab rangoon for as long as I can remember, and I got the basic jist of how to make them while watching the food network one day. I decided on making my own recipe for them, and so this is what I came up with.
CRAB RANGOON
1 can crabmeat
1 package 8 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 tsp chives
Premade wonton wrappers (that you can get at almost any grocery store)
Canola Oil for frying. Vegetable oil will work fine too.
Mix crab meat, room temperature cream cheese, and chives together in a small bowl until smooth.
Place a wonton wrapper on counter, wet edges with water, place 1 tsp. (or more) of the crab mixture just off center towards one of the four points. Fold wrapper over making sure all the air bubbles are pushed out as you seal it. Make sure it is firmly sealed to keep it from bubbling or popping.
Heat oil to 350 degrees farenheit or judge with extra wonton wrapper cut into 4, and see if bubbles form rapidly around the edges.
Place Rangoon in the oil and cook turning over once. Assume three minutes to a side, or until golden brown.

Hope ya’ll enjoy 'em!!
