Creamy Mashed Potato Bake

3 cups hot mashed potatoes
1 cup sour cream
4 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
salt & pepper to taste
1 1/3 cup French Fried Onions
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine mashed potatoes, sour cream,
milk, salt, pepper, and garlic and onion powder in large mixing bowl;
mix well. Spoon half the mixture into 2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle
with 2/3 cup French Fried onions and 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese.
Top with remaining potato mixture. Bake 30 minutes until hot. Top
with remaining onions and cheddar cheese. Bake 5 minutes until
onions are golden
