Crock-Pot Italian Chicken

Italian Chicken

McCormick Italian-Style Spaghetti Sauce Mix is one of the secret ingredients in this easy recipe.

3 pounds chicken parts, such as legs, breasts, thighs; skin removed
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon Season-All Seasoned Salt
1 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons Italian Seasoning
1 package Italian-Style Spaghetti Sauce Mix
1 cup dry white wine
4 cups sliced zucchini and/or yellow squash, sliced about 1/2 inch thick
hot cooked pasta, if desired.

Rub chicken with garlic, Season-All and pepper. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 2 minutes, browning on all sides.

Add chicken, Italian seasoning, spaghetti sauce mix and wine to a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours, or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours.

Add squash during last hour of cooking. Serve with hot cooked pasta, if desired.
