As my first post to the boards, I wanted to give you all my favourite recipe, the crock pot macaroni dish which will have family and friends begging for more! Enjoy!
8 cups cooked macaroni or other pasta
4 bacon rashes - rind removed and diced
½ onion - minced or very finely chopped
2 cups milk
(13 oz/375ml) evaporated milk
2 eggs - lightly beaten
2oz/60g melted butter
2 tbls vegetable Oil
6 cups Cheese, grated - we used 4 of tasty (cheddar type) and 2 of parmesan
Salt and Pepper
- Place all ingredients into the crock pot and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook for 8-9 hours on Low OR 4-5 hours on High.
- Eat and enjoy
Serves 6-8 as a meal No need to fry bacon, though I suppose you could. Serves heaps as a side dish
