Crockpot Lasagna

8 lasagna noodles, broken into bite size pieces
2 tsp cooking oil
2 tsp salt
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
3/4 c finely chopped onion
1 jar of spagetti sauce with meat
1 c creamed cottage cheese
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp basil
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Cook the lasana noodles in boiling water, cooking oil and salt until tender but firm. Drain. Brown ground beef. Drain well. Put the ground beef in slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients, stir well. Add lasana noodles. Stir. Cover. Cook on LOW for 7-9 hours or on HIGH for 3 1/2-4 1/2 hours.

Miniature lasagna pieces called “Mafalda” by San Giorgio are easy. Lot easier than boiling the regular lasagna noodles. Would be good in this dish.
