crockpot to the rescue

It’s so dang hot!

And last week I bought a whole top sirloin - made 2 roasts out of it and sliced steaks from it as well. Today I placed the frozen steaks in the crockpot with just a tad of olive oil, plenty of fresh garlic, fresh parsley, salt and cracked pepper along with sliced onions.

Boiled potatoes (yeah I know - it was even too hot to do that!) with butter, parsley, salt and pepper.

Nice green salad with balsamic vinegar, basil, salt and pepper.

Iced tea with lots of iced tea cubes (this way when they melt the iced tea doesn’t dilute!).

Since we had an early dinner today I know that tonight I will have to come up with something else…need to put the old thinkg cap on for this…

Thank heaven for the freezer! I’ve got some frozen sliced turkey and gravy! I’ll just warm that up and we can open-faced sandwiches; made coleslaw yesterday (cabbage, carrots, purple cabbage, sugar, vinegar, mayo and pepper) and that will just have to do!
