Davis Chocolate Coconut Cake

1 Cup Vegtable Shortening
2 Cups Sugar
5 Lg Eggs
1 Cup Flour
1Cup Self- Rising Flour
1 Cup Milk
Cream shortening, gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs on at a time beating until smooth after each. Combine flour . Add to cramed mixture alternately with milk begining and endung with flour, pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9 inch round cake pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean and cool in pans 5 mintutes and remove & cool completely.

1 Cup Suagr
1 Cup Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 (12oz ) Pkg Frozen Coconut
12 lg Marshmellows
Combine sugar& milk in a sauce pan, bring to a boil . Add vanilla, coconut, marshmellows, boil over medium heat 5 minutes spread between cake layers.

1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
2 Cups Sugar
2/3 Cup Evaporated Milk
1 (6oz) Pkg Semi- Sweet Chocolate Morsels
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Boil 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, remove from heat, cool use to frost top and sides of filled cake . Serves 14-16
