Dear Abby’s Tuna Casserole

2 tablespoons butter (or margarine)
2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 cup fresh frozen green peas, cooked
1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
5-oz. jar pimento cheese spread
1/2 cup nonfat milk
6-1/2 to 7-oz can water packed tuna, drained
8-10 oz. noodles, cooked and drained
1/4 cup chopped black olives
1 to 1-1/4 cup crushed potato chips or cornflakes, if desired

Heat oven to 350ºF.
In medium saucepan, melt butter, saute onion until tender. Add soup, cheese spread, tuna, milk; heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted. Add noodles, peas and olives; mix well. Spoon mixture into 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with crushed potato chips or cornflakes, if desired. Bake at 350ºF for 15 to 20 mintues.
