DEEP-FRIED OREOS
1 gallon cooking oil
1 large egg
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups pancake mix
1 (18 ounce) package Oreo cookies
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
Fill Fryer with oil. Heat to 375-F. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vegetable oil. Stir in the pancake mix until no dry lumps remain. Dip the cookies into the batter one at a time, and carefully place into the hot oil, frying only 4 or 5 at a time to avoid overcrowding. Fry the cookies 1 minute per side, until they are golden brown. Drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and serve warm.
