DEPRESSION ERA CREAM PUFFS
1/4 c. butter - to
1/2 c. water
Heat until butter is melted
1/2 c. sifted flour all at once. Beat over heat until smooth and ball forms. Cool slightly and add 2 eggs, not beaten, and stir in same direction, mixing well. Drop on cookie sheet from a T. Bake at 350* F. for 1 hour or more. Puffs should be dry in cracks when done. Swerve with whipped cream filling.
These puffs were economical and quick to make, and everyone liked them.
