DEPRESSION ERA OLD-FASHIONED VEGETABLE SOUP
This was always nice to have on hand for a quick lunch or supper or for diets calling for one soup a day.
Cut meat off one soup bone and brown in heavy sauce pan.
1 c. carrots, grated
1 c. celery with leaves, cut up
2 c. tomatoes
Some parsley, cut up
1 T. salt
1/2 bay leaf
1/4 t. marjoram
1/4 t. thyme
Add handful of any kind of noodles. Cook until done, 1 hour or more. Can be frozen in serving size for quick warm up.
