DEPRESSION ERA YEAST CORN BREAD

Dissolve:
1 pkg. yeast - in
1/2 c. warm water

Scald:
2 c. milk

Pour over:
1/3 c. lard
1/3 c. sugar

Cool and add:
2 eggs, well beaten
1 t. salt
and yeast mixture

Mix well and add:
4 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal

Rise until double in bulk. Bake in two bread tins at 350* F. for 45 minutes.
