Don't Peek Chicken

4-6 chicken breasts (with bone and skin)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 C. milk
1 C. rice
1 pkg. French Onion Soup Mix

Mix soups, rice and milk. Put in baking dish, place chicken over rice, skin side up. Pour onion soup mix over all. Cover with foil. Bake at 275 degrees for 2 1/2 hrs.[/b]

Can I use two cans of cream of mushroom instead?

This will be my meal tomorrow night. I love easy, healthy meals. There is just two of us, since our two sons left home and it is hard to cook small meals. But this will be good for 2 days or the freezer. Thanks for sharing.

This is probably going to sound like a dumb question but on the french onion soup mix, do you use it just dry or do you mix it up first. It just doesn`t seem to be enough liquid for the rice.

I have made this recipe many time and my family loves it. Since my husband doesn’t like mushrooms I use 2 cans of cream of chicken instead of mushroom. There is enough liquid to cook the rice. The dry onion soup mix is sprinkled on the top of the chicken.

I’ll be trying this one with cream of chicken soup because my hubby hates mushrooms. LOL!
