Dutch Country Soup

1/2 lb frankfurters - cut in 1 inch pieces
1/2 cup onion - chopped
1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves - crushed
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 can split pea with ham soup - undiluted
1 cup water
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 can diced carrots - drained
dash of pepper

Preparation

Place all ingredients in your slow cooker in the order listed. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours. Makes 4 servings.
