Easy Chili Quickie
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 tbsp (or more) chili powder
1 (15.5 oz) can hot chili beans in chili gravy
1 (26 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup salsa (mild to hot to suit your taste)
6 oz shredded cheddar cheese
From choppin’ onion to lickin’ chops in less than 40 minutes (which is purdy dang quick for chili this good). And if you donâ€™t tell â€˜em, they wonâ€™t know.
In a heavy skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and onion until beef is brown; stirring a bit to break up the beef. Completely drain the grease.
Put everything except the cheese in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat; stirring frequently. Reduce the heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes
Serve topped with cheese.
