Family’s Creamed Spinach
Dress up this delicious side dish with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese or bread crumbs, or serve it as is. It can be easily made a day ahead and popped into the oven just before serving !

1 (10 oz) can condensed cream of celery soup
1 Tbsp flour
4 Tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 tsp garlic salt or minced garlic
2 (10 oz) pkgs frozen spinach - thawed, drained and chopped
1 small onion, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
Low Down: Use the LOW sodium version of the soup Coonsider a butter alternativre.
Heat soup in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in flour, butter, garlic salt, and salt and pepper.
Stir in spinach and onion; cook until onion softens, (7 to 10 min).
Serving suggestion: Serve with Thin, or thick (your call) diagonally cut Italian bread slices topped with garllic butter and toasted (to taste) in the broiler. Consider adding a cold maccaroni salad for contrast
