Basil Pesto with Garlic and Asiago
This is not from Sweet Basil’s - but the ingredients are the same.
2 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup pinenuts
1/2 cup asiago (fresh, or parmesan)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 pinch salt
Remove Basil leaves off of the main stem and wash them well. Pat dry to make sure no water goes into the pesto.
In a food processor, place your basil leaves, oil, pine nuts, cheese, garlic and salt and pulse until the mixture has become a paste. Scrape off the sides once or twice to make sure everything has been made into a paste.
