Find a Walking Buddy ( Diabetes )
Many people find it easier to exercise when they have company. Next time you take a walk, ask someone to join you. Start by asking people you know. Check with family members, friends, and co-workers. Try to find someone dependable who is at your fitness level. If no one around you is interested or available, see if any of the shopping malls in your area sponsor a walking program, or look in your local paper for walking clubs. Many cities have several, and include programs for all ages and fitness levels. Walking clubs are fun and are always happy to have new members. You could also try walking at the track at a local school; you are almost certain to find other walkers there. Seek and you shall find.
