Freezing Cilantro

Can I freeze cilantro?


Yes - you can freeze it just like you do parsley - wash, cut off too-long stems - place in ziplock. I spin my parsley in the salad spinner to remove most of the moisture.

When ready to use, just pull off what you want.

Remember that it will not be “crisp” after freezing and you can dry it very easily. Wash, spin moisture out, spread out on paper towels overnight. The next day place in single layer on baking sheet and place in 150* F. oven to be dried. Remove from oven, place on clean dry paper towels to cool; transfer to covered jar/container ans store in your pantry.
